The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management was established in the year 2002. The facilities offered in the department are Five star standard laboratories, Basic training kitchen, Advanced training Restaurant and kitchen, Quantity training kitchen and Bakery, Food lab and fully Air conditioned training Restaurant with highly experienced faculty members.
The Department has its sight fixed towards the placement of students after an industrial exposure training in five star hotels around the world. Students are sent for industrial exposure training programmes to leading hotel chains. A full - fledged training in bakery and confectionery is provided. It has conducted highly successful food festivals - 'Poorna Bhojan ' and 'Krishna Prasadam' - the feast of 15 varieties of sweets. Workshops on Traditional savouries, Fruits and Vegetables carving, Cocktail and Mocktail demos, Tandoori cooking, Christmas cake baking and Wine making are conducted regularly. The infrastructural facilities are designed with high quality to meet industrial standards.
